Sponsorship Of Our Long Term Residents
We have quite a number of piggies that can't be rehomed due to a variety of health issues and long term care. You can sponsor one of these piggies for £20 per year. All sponsorship money goes straight back into the ongoing medical care of these special piggies. This is a great way to help the rescue and a wonderful gift for those who cannot have piggies of their own, as well as those who would like to help ensure these guinea pigs continue to receive the best of care. If you would like to sponsor one of our special piggies please go to our shop page to order. If the sponsorship is a gift please make a note to say whose name you would like on the certificate.
Beautiful Kelly is 6 years old and upon joining us we noticed that she has a large amount of lumps under her belly and around the inside of her legs. These lumps cause no discomfort and are too plentiful to remove so she will stay with us long term to be monitored. Kelly is the calmest, friendliest girl who loves cuddles.

Wonky is 4 years old and a very special piggy indeed. Wonky joined us with a multitude of issues, he carries what is known as the lethel gene. Wonky is completely deaf and blind, has a head tilt and needs regular dental work. Despite all this he is a happy little chap full of energy.

Piccolo is 8 months old and was born here at the rescue when her mum joined us with a lot of other pregnant girls. Piccolo was born the smallest piggy we have ever seen, 32g, which is half the weight of a very small newborn. We didn't expect her to survive the night but she did and has gone on to fight through a digestive illness a few months later. Piccolo may be small but she has a huge personality and she is a much loved and valued member of the Milhaven long term residents.
